What is the Property Services Regulatory Authority?
The Property Services (Regulatory) Act of 2011 established the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA). The authority’s mission is to supervise and monitor Property Services Providers in Ireland by licensing all professionals and regulating and maintaining standards in their service delivery.
The Property Services Regulatory Authority carries out its duties by licensing professionals, conducting complaints investigations, maintaining a system of redress for service consumers, namely the Compensation Fund, and enforcing certain minimum standards established by the 2011 Act.
You can apply for a license in one or more of the four categories as a Property Service Provider: A, B, C and D.
A- Property that isn’t land is auctioned.
B- The purchase or sale of land (at auction or by private treaty) (including buildings)
C- The process of leasing land
D- Services for property management
